Final Observation

There has been an even greater increase in cyanobacteria than the previous week. The cyanobacteria can be found throughout the aquarium. The filamentous algae is still growing just not at the same rate as before, the algae seem to be more concentrated at the bottom of the aquarium. There are many diatom skeletons settled near the bottom of the aquarium, along the sediment layer. There was a new discovery, I found an amoeba around the middle of the aquarium. There are colonized algae right above the sediment layer, they look like a semi transparent green patch. I was unable to find any living eugleniods in the aquarium.

Week 4

There have been several changes since the last observation. The filamentous algae that was located more towards the bottom has flourished throughout the aquarium. There has also been a massive increase in cyanobacteria throughout the aquarium. I observed a trio of rotofers that were located in clos proximity to one another. I observed these rotofers close when disturbed then whitnessed them reopen.

The worm Aeolosona leidyi was seen at the bottom near the sediment layer. It took refuge in the sediment at the bottom, and came out more and more as i turned the brightness of the microscope down. I also observed a daphulisa use its flagelle to move through the water in the aquarium.
